What kind of work is Sans Serif looking for?

Sans Serif accepts original submissions of nonfiction (including all types of literary essay and interviews) and photography.  Interviews may be submitted as text or videos.

Does Sans Serif pay for published submissions?

No.  Unfortunately, we can’t pay you for your submissions, but we still feel like the opportunity to be published in a literary journal should be incentive enough.

Can I submit work that has been published elsewhere?

No.  We want the stories we receive to be original.  Please do not send us works that have been published in another publication, whether online or print.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Prose entries must not be more than 2,500 words.
  • Entries must be typed in 12 pt Times New Roman, double-spaced and with a title.
  • You may submit more than one entry if you choose.

  • Photography may be black and white, color, or sepia, but we will only accept JPEG files.
